The actor, Paul Wesley is one of the most famous faces on TV for fans of some of the most popular supernatural shows produced by mainstream channels such as The CW. Wesley has been playing the role of Stefan Salvatore since 2009 and recently took his first steps behind the camera by directing an episode of the young adult drama.
For Wesley, the need to develop his career in many different directions has become part of his life in a way which has allowed him to explore the aspects of life he has yet to be exposed to. The role of Flynt in the play, “Cal in Camo” is a good case in point as the actor portrays a member of the military who returns to the home of his sister, the titular Cal in an attempt to overcome the death of his wife; Paul Wesley admits he had little inspiration to draw from in his real life but did work with his director to build an imaginary story based on events to help him understand his character a little more.
Standing still and continuing to perform and work in the same way has never been something Paul Wesley believes he should be doing and is reflected in the different roles he has taken on over the course of his acting career. Despite his long-running role in “The Vampire Diaries”, Paul Wesley has used the security of this role to explore work as an independent actor and producer. Wesley both acted in the movie, “Before I Disappear” and produced the independent movie based on an Oscar-winning short as he looked to enhance his career in a range of new ways to make sure his artistic ambitions are met.
Anime has been steadily gaining popularity in recent years and few have stood out among the rest. Although new blockbusters such as Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia have potential to be great anime with awesome protagonist, their characters still pale in comparison to the now classic anime behemoths. These first-class characters include Goku from Dragon Ball and Naruto Uzamaki from Naruto. As each of these characters have been featured in many movies, I will only be mentioning the most recent ones.
Badass anime characters Goku’s most prominent appearance has to be in his recent Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ movie. In it, Goku achieves a new level of God-like power, but faces an old time foe called Frieza. Because of Frieza’s unprecedented power increase, it’s up to Goku to protect earth from destruction. Naruto has many movies as well and his most recent one includes his children and the next generation of characters for the franchise. Shortly before this movie however, Naruto: The Last was released and depicted events after the “Great Ninja War”, which occurred in the anime.
In this ninja anime movie, Naruto literally travels to the moon and back in order to save Hinata. Even though these protagonist have made others around them seem minor, those minor characters still have massive potential. Maybe one day Eren from Attack on Titan and Deku from My Hero Academia will be the next anime character giants.
