As the executive chairperson of QI Group, Vijay Eswaran has been at the center of expanding the operations of the company. A native of Penang, Malaysia, Vijay pursued his higher education in some of the leading institutions in the globe, including the London School of Economics and Southern Illinois University.
He holds a socio-economics and MBA from these institutions respectively. While he was in the UK, he obtained a CIMA certification. As he was working, one of his friends told him about multi-level marketing (MLM). Vijay was interested in learning about the direct-selling business.
When he returned home, he secured an executive position at Cosway’s, a renowned MLM company. In the 90s, Asia was undergoing a severe economic crisis. With inadequate capital and connections, Vijay found it difficult to start a business.
He posits that he was lucky to find like-minded partners. Vijay posits that he partnered with Joseph Bismark to found the multi-million conglomerate. By virtue of working for leading companies like IBM, Vijay boasts of having vast management skills.
Vijay Eswaran used his extensive knowledge and experience to enhance the company’s operations by opening regional offices in Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. In addition, the executive partnered with different subsidiaries to establish QI Group’s operations in over 30 countries. The conglomerate invests in education and training, property development, logistics, lifestyle and leisure, luxury and management of conferences.
Vijay has been sharing his knowledge with others through delivering lectures in universities as well as leadership and management forums. The motivational speaker’s subjects range from spirituality to business.

Some of the books that Vijay has published include “In the Thinking Zone,” “In the Sphere of Silence” and “18 Stepping Stones.” Moreover, he has been writing different newspaper columns in various Asian countries, including Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
Eswaran is the recipient of various awards. In 2006, His Royal Highness The Sultan of Pahang gave him the honorary title of “Dato.” In 2011, the Global Organization for People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) honored Eswaran with the International Excellence in Business award. In addition, ASLI gave him a special award for education entrepreneurship.
