We have seen a worldview shift in how people view companies. In the current America, corporations are viewed as the enemy. They are seen as these awful monsters who Delight in making the poor sink down in poverty. This is not true of those who believe in social entrepreneurship. Social entrepreneurs believe in ending evil in all its forms. They understand they cannot do everything. However, they all know they can do something. One company who has taken this the heart is Securus Technologies.
Securus Technologies won my respect when I realized that not only are they an American based business, but they are the leading provider in products that make inmates more safe in correctional facilities.
Ever since 4,400 Correctional Facilities began using Securus Technologies, we have seen a rapid decline in crimes committed between inmates. This is because Securus Technologies has created products that allow them to monitor inmate activity and then immediately begin investigating should that inmate be looking to commit a crime.
Another way that Securus Technologies has made prisons more safe for the inmates is by implementing a system that allows them to detect and control contraband phones. The reason for Securus Technologies doing this is because it prevents inmates from planning out attacks with one another and against one another.
As Securus Technologies beginning to take the lead, other corporations wanted to jump on board. One such Corporation came on in July 2016, and that was the Harris Corporation. Working together with Securus Technologies, Harris Corporation created a new product called Cell Defender. Prisoners across North America report that this new technology alone has made them feel twice as safe and more secure when they are in their cells.
Securus Technologies has taken an evil in this world and turned it into everyone’s good.

Its array of tech solutions helps in effective investigations, monitoring of criminal activities and most importantly enhance public safety. The tech firm develops a new product every week to improve law enforcement and solves crimes.
Correctional Facilities Services
The cutting edge solutions provided by Securus play a pivotal role in enhancing inmates safety. Correctional facilities have used its call monitoring services to nub corrupt staff who smuggle contraband into the facility. The services have also been used to monitor calls and even trace criminal activities.
Investigation and Monitoring
Securus technologies have developed an investigative tool that makes it easier for detectives to investigate crimes and tips. The device comes with a data logging features that have enhanced monitoring and prevention of offenses and contraband within the facilities. Additionally, the law enforcers have managed to recover cash, drug, and illegal assets worth millions of dollars. They admit that achieving such would be impossible without the technology.
Investigator Pro and Location Based Software, LBS, are some of the most popular innovation by Securus among correctional facility authorities. The former is a favorite choice for detectives too. The LBS has played a significant role in recoveries and location of illegal products. Many clients have expressed satisfaction at Securus’ commitment to ease crime solving and improve security both inside and outside. Other solutions include THREAD, Inmate Tablets, and Wireless Containment solutions.

It is a blessing to be a part of a family. No matter the differences that might exist, the bond uniting the members of a family is, most of the time, unbreakable. Once you are born into the family, then you are there for life; you cannot exchange family. If there is a time when families get together to celebrate their uniqueness, then this has to be during the festive season. During this season is when you get the opportunity to catch up with the rest of the family, share your successes and failures throughout the year, and find a friendly shoulder to lean on.
But what about an incarcerated family member? Once you are in prison, your freedom to travel to see your family during the festive season is no longer there. Last Christmas I was in jail, and this was my story then. It was such a terrible feeling to be separated from my family during that time of festivities. It was even worse to be all alone in a cold prison cell. I will forever be thankful to Securus for their new video visitation technology, which allowed me to facetime with my entire family even behind bars.
It was such a joy to connect with the whole family in real time and to have a feel of the outside world. The audio/video communication technology by Securus has significantly improved the lives of both inmates and their families. I have a little child, and the idea of her visiting me in the depressing prison environment was detesting. The video visitation technology, therefore, came as a major blessing to me. I finally had the opportunity to chat with my baby in an ideal environment, something that brought me so much joy.
I am thankful for the gift of freedom this festive season. All the same, I know that the situation will be much better for the inmates thanks to Securus Technologies. The video visitation technology has significantly improved the quality of visits for the prisoners by their loved ones. No one wants to meet with their family in the gloomy prison facilities, especially not during the Christmas season when the atmosphere is expected to be jolly and cheerful.
The technology is used, and it is working wonders for the inmates. A perfect example of the video visitation technology in use is a video on YouTube titled, ‘Securus Family Communication during Xmas.
Securus Technologies is a leading provider of inmate services in the United States. The company offers other services such as information management, government information management, biometric analysis, communication and tracking services. The company has grown extensively in other areas of the world but has its headquarters in Atlanta Georgia. Securus Technologies avails its services to approximately more than 2,600 correction facilities in close to 45 states. In April 2015, the company announced that it had signed to an agreement to acquire JPay. The acquisition has seen Securus become one of the fastest growing company in the correction facilities. The company also received an accreditation from Better Business Bureau.
According to recent press release information, Securus Technologies has strived to expose misconducts of its competitor company GTL. GTL discreetly and intentionally tampered with telephones, the act saw an increase in call rates and callers paying more than the required amount. The act is a gross misconduct and totally inexcusable. The company further inflated its charges by increasing the calling rates above standard rates required by the law. The above information is attested by the fact that the firm made more than one million in profits through the illegal practices.
I find that the illegal practices by GTL shows nothing but greed, fraud, and corruption within the company. GTL has participated in various misconducts by trying to get back to other businesses and releasing wrong information. The company has now gone to limelight again after overcharging its customers by extreme amounts. Apart from the charging people of their cash, the company is milking people of their money. People that make calls in the correction facility are guys like you and me that want to get to talk with their friends and family. All we can say about the process that it is shameful of the kind of misconduct experienced.
