Now that this is the spring season, it is time to give that house a complete and thorough cleaning. Many people who celebrate Passover will find that getting ready for the holiday and giving the house a thorough cleaning can get tiresome. Through cleaning can mean trying to move heavy furniture and appliances to get underneath and behind them. Handy wants to help out and get the job done faster. Handy was originally known as Handybook. It was founded in 2012 by a 19-year-old college student named Oisin Hanrahan.
Oisin Hanrahan was a student at Trinity College in Dublin. After graduation, Hanrahan became interested in real estate; Oisin Hanrahan moved to Budapest to buy and renovate the apartments. He found it hard to find reliable help when he purchased apartment dwellings in Budapest while on weekend breaks. A few years later, Oisin Hanrahan was a student at Harvard Business School. His friend, roomate, and classmate, Umang Dua, had told Hanrahan that Americans were having the same problem trying to find reliable help. Handybook was born.
Dua earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Amherst. Umang Dua was employed as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company. While at McKinsey & Company, Dua founded College Connect, an online service for students in India who want to get in touch with other students around the world.
