Mexico stands as the leading regarding media power within the Latin American Spanish Speaking countries going by the number of publishers, newspapers, television networks and radio stations. The mainstream periodicals and newspapers have been divided along political ideologies with the leadings ones being El Nacional which is government owned and El Proceso, a left-wing independent newspaper. Organización Editorial Mexicana (OEM) is the largest newspaper group in Mexico, and it owns up to 90 newspapers across the country. Novedades Editores is the largest publishing group and La Prensa and Excélsior are the major dailies.
Five major national news agencies operate in Mexico. These news agencies include Infomex, Notimex, Notipress, Agencia Mexicana de Información, and Noti-Acción. Infomex is the largest in this category and has nearly 100 offices spread all over the country. It also has about 20 foreign correspondents. All these agencies have their bureaus in Mexico City.

Salvi Rafael Folch Viadero is also the CEO and CFO of Comercio Más, S.A. de CV. He has also been holding the positions of the VP of financial planning and CFO of Grupo Televisa, S.A.B. since 2002.
